Required Listening

The required listening that spencer had us listen to was a good list. I especially was attracted to the 70's music because of the african american artists such as rick james and parliment. One song that really stuck out was the song tutti frutti by little richard. I especially liked this song for the fact that it was a very enthusiastic peice. The things i look for in a song is the beat, the flow, the enthusiasm and most of all its creativity. I think that little richard portrays most of these very well.

Album Review

Marshall Mathers LP
8.5/10

This album made by eminem was a very creative album in my opinion. He expresses his fellings in how people are treating him and his image in the media. It may not be the greatest album due to the vigorous language and sexual and drung refrences but as far as being art this is a perfect example. Personally i like the way eminem chooses to use his words in a creative way and it really appeals to me because its like listening to a cartoon on the stereo. I give this album an 8.5. It could be a higher number if eminem tones down his violence a little but other than that i love the creativity in this peice of art.

12/11/07 blog prompt

1). One thing that certainly struck me in this book is how it is related to the real world. I got this idea from when the tribe starts getting seperated from when the christian missionaries are coming to the tribe and seperating groups into the christians and the tribal religion. It relates to the real world because of how in other countries now days there is seperation of religion and even causing wars over the issue.
2). I am starting to like this book more than i did in the beginning because of how the story is starting to progress. Before about the 60th page in the book it was all nice and perfect but to me i kno things are never perfect so when there is some action starting to be revealed i like it more.

12/08/07 Lit. Circle Pgs.1-77

For the first literature circle our group was assigned to read the first 33 pages of our book. The beginning or this book was a little confusing to me because of the way Achebe wrote his ideas. As I further read the book i appreciated his writing style much more than i had for many reasons including his descriptiveness and how he describes the characters. I really thought about what spencer said about Acheebes writing style. He told us that it may because Achebe is african that he is writing in a tribal sense rather than just for either himself or just one important person in the tribe. So far this book is starting to get interesting now that there is some actual action like when Okonkwo is beating up his wife.

our gruop is progressing on our power pint because we have to present tommorow for our water project. I feel confident that our group will do well with the presentation because we have been working really hard.

Tap water

I am having difficulty with finding sources for our water quality project on tap water. I was wondering if anyone could help. If you are reading this dont ignore it. I mean it please help me. it would be greatly appreciated.
