1) For chapter 1, write three things based on the reading that supports the above resolution. This is the "pro" argument.
America is crippling because people want to express themselves too much. People cross the line, and the young have access to explicit content, so they have all this knowledge at a young age.
2) For chapter 2, write three things based on the reading that goes against the above resolution. This is the "con" argument.
If we had no freedom to express ourselves, everything would be heavily edited and screened. Also, there will be protests and rebels who will try to go outside of the law. America is really the only "free" country, and it should stay that way.
3) Write a paragraph where you state your opinion on the issue. It should include some evidence from the reading, but it does not have to follow each viewpoint to the letter. You can also include ideas and evidence from other sources or individuals.
I think that people should have the right to express any type of view, because if you censor that bad idea that someone has, there is a essentially a missing piece to the puzzle. I think it should be up to the parents, however, to block these ideas from small children until the time is right, according to them. We should not, however, block ideas and ban them completely and from everyone.
